UPDATE 3/16/2015 - Guests heading to tomorrow's K-Wings Green Ice game (March 17), please use Exit 78 Portage Road on I-94 or through Portage Road via East Kilgore Road to ensure smooth sailing to the game. Police officers from Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety will be directing traffic at these key locations to ensure minimal traffic congestion.
KALAMAZOO - Wings Stadium and Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety have partnered to provide a re-directed traffic plan for guests of all events at
Wings Stadium, including
Kalamazoo Wings hockey games, during the construction on I-94 near Sprinkle Road beginning Monday, March 16.
The project, which is estimated to be completed by late October, will
create one lane traffic in both directions near the Sprinkle Road bridge at I-94, which may cause significant delays in travel time and traffic congestions. Guests are advised to arrive an hour early prior to event or hockey games they are planning to attend to accommodate potential traffic delays.
Fans traveling east or west bound on I-94 are encouraged to exit the highway at Portage
Road (exit 78). At the off-ramp, turn left onto Portage Road, take a right at
the first light under the overpass (Kilgore Road) and proceed to Manchester Road located next to Fresenius Medical Care. Turn left onto Manchester Road and then Covington Road will wrap around to Wings Stadium.
For more information regarding the
traveling to Wings Stadium, please contact Sarah Lee at 269.226.0370 or Mike Modugno at 269.226.0384.
